Other Workout I'm a trainer. So that entails about four more on-skates hours per week, plus four more off-skates hours per week spear-carrying for my clients where the spears are, like, 45# plates. I bike a lot for transportation, not everywhere but year-round. Otherwise I practice what I preach as a trainer, whole day fitness: 30 min walk including stairs every morning, 15 min meditation every afternoon, 7 min stretch every evening, and stand 2x/hour during prolonged sitting periods. And I have to finish by saying that training isn't the only button to push when it comes to fitness, there are four other buttons: sleep, meditation, hydration, and nutrition. Give the training button a rest, why don't you. Try the nice meditation button!
Diet My diet is called my rules, my results. Right now my rules are a cup of coffee and a cup of water when I wake up, a glass of water with every meal, protein and vegetable for every meal plus starchy vegetable or whole grain for one meal per day, fruits and nuts for afternoon and evening snacks, and alcohol, sugar, or starch just three meals per week.
I stick to this pretty well through the year, and then it all goes to hell and I eat all white carbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Which isn't a rule, but it's certainly a pattern.
I guess my diet should just be called my rules, because I don't care about the results. Or I guess I'd care about the results if they were bad. But they're not bad, so.
Laps in 5 minutes I have no idea.
